Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the HUGE delay in posting - my summer was "interesting" to say the least! I wrote about it in a piece for Inner Vision Magazine titled, "Don't Go There Alone" in August. I will also post the article on my website when the site is re-done this week.
To today - I just got back from seeing Carolyn Myss at the Philly Convention Center! And...oh my!! If you follow Caroline at all you know she does not mince words nor is she gentle when it comes to personal responsibility and transformation!! I got my proverbial butt kicked just sitting in my seat and listening! Proof -here I am in action...
Caroline takes our concept of energy to a heightened level of Grace, and consciousness up to the realm of Mystic Consciousness. It is a whole new ball game played in a field far above the ball park we've been tossing the ball around on. Grace, defined by Carolyn, is where we reside - it is all around us. From our Ego Consciousness we refer to this as the energy we are surrounded by. Ego Consciousness is the path many of us have been on for self serving Enlightenment. Ego Consciousness is not about or related to the nature of our soul. Mystic Consciousness, on the other hand, is not narcissistic. It begs for us to slip through the very narrow gate inside of ourselves, which Mystics bear witness to the existence of, the other side of which is so magnificent it shatters our smaller self. It is a place of living in "Awe." It is a place in which we are present to the power of being humbled and are no longer stopped by the fear of humiliation. It is a place we all long for but often have no access to. Caroline reveals the access and let's us know that it requires a whole new level of personal responsibility and consciousness to get there. It takes holding ourselves to account by Mystic Laws and the 7 Graces she outlines in her new book, Defying Gravity. It takes being conscious of our 7 shadow passions and making the conscious effort to chose one of the Graces instead.
One of my least favorite was the shadow passion for Chakra 7 - Sloth. It is being passive and not acting on your life. (Like not sharing yourself in your blog when you know it is what you are meant to do!) Choosing the Grace of Wisdom instead would require you to ask for the Grace to see how to act on behalf of yourself and others in your life. Oh yes, one very important aspect of Mystical Consciousness - you can not go there alone. You must ask (pray) for assistance. Not prayer like church, but rather prayer like acknowledging a power beyond yourself, which transcends physical law, and is the source of all that is.
My other least favorite shadow passion - Chakra #3: Entitlement. As Caroline pointed out, more then once and very pointedly, we are entitled to NOTHING yet we act like we are entitled to everything, and this is where suffering lives. It is our entitlement that creates our desire to make others suffer for what they have done to us. Better said - we make others suffer for what we think we are entitled to from them and they are not giving to us. In opposition to this is the Grace of Understanding: "Provide me with the Grace to Understand the truth of another so I can be of service to them." Just think what our lives, the entire world would look like if we came from Understanding instead of Entitlement!!! Of course, giving up making others suffer by withholding ourselves from them, and instead loving them with a full heart takes a great deal of courage and, well...Grace!!

Playing Cards to Free Your Soul
I went out by myself today without a scheduled class or meeting to spend some time as I pleased. Not an everyday occurrence in my life homeschooling two little boys. I went to Sarah's to play cards. Not Pinnacle, Bridge or Poker - Inner Speak Cards! These cards are like little windows into a part of our lives we rarely get to view - our soul. They were created by Jean Adrienne (http://www.inner-speak.com/).
The "game" starts by choosing an area in your life where you feel stuck and then placing the intention of clearing this block by using the cards. There are 7 sets of colored cards, each set representing a different area of the discovery you are intending. You pick one card from each set (sometimes two or three from a set according to the directions) and begin your journey inward.
With the first card you find out the source of your blockage. The block I worked on today was overwhelm created by an authority figure. Sarah and I dug further into this asking if the source was me (it was), if it was in this life time (it was), and who was the authority figure (we narrowed it down to a specific authoritative person in my life - no, I'm not telling who it is!). You can use a pendulum, coin toss or muscle testing to ask Yes and No questions when digging deeper. We then went on to find out how the blockage was set up (I was manipulated into a partnership against my will by someones lies) and what my soul's reaction was to this set up (burnt out, exhausted and weary - is the diagnosis of Adrenal Fatigue a coincidence?). This created a stuck belief that the authority figure thinks he/she is better then other people (um...yea, this makes sense...). The last few cards give you specific directions to clear this blockage and an angel message if you choose to pick one. Intrigued? Go to http://www.inner-speak.org and play the on-line version!! Make sure to write back and tell me what you discover! Want to be trained by Jean herself - sign up for the August 15 and 16 class in Newtown, PA at http://www.higherconsciousnessforhealing.com/. See you there!!

Life Force .01 and dropping...
A sobering thought for a sobering day. While perusing the aisles at our local party store with the boys, I caught the tail end of a radio host mentioning, "His death was comparable to Elvis's." I hadn't heard who. Later in the same shop, with the boys happily (read - nosily) enjoying new found treasures, I heard the name Ryan O'Neil mentioned by the same radio host. I couldn't add it up (I couldn't hear it!). I was shocked when I got home that both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died today. What would the late 70's and 80's have been without either of them? According to an energy balancing science created by Stephen Lewis, these types of young, sudden, and multiple deaths will become more common. Not exactly what you want to read, not exactly what you should ignore, either.
On Stephen's website for his company EMC2 (http://www.energeticmatrix.com/), he explains these findings in a letter titled, "Don't Shoot the Messenger." Stephen's science is founded in quantum physics and energy healing. The best understanding of what Stephen is doing can be found in his fictional novel "Sanctuary: The Path to Consciousness." Fictional yes, but based on the reality of what he able to do. For the quickest understanding, a recording of Stephen's first weekly internet radio show can be found on the radio host, Mike Connor's website http://www.emc2consciousness.com/audios.php (1. Introductory Calls: 1A. Stephen Lewis - Welcome to AIM (Recorded April 25, 2007 - 40 min). Now, let me try to briefly explain here what Stephen does, and what it means to have a Life Force of .01 with the expectancy that this is falling for most urban Americans.
As we have come to accept, EVERYTHING is made of energy. This means we are made of energy, each aspect of us being energy that vibrates at differing rates. This includes all parts of our body as well as our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and spirit. When an aspect of us is not vibrating at its optimal rate, that aspect will eventually not work properly. Stephen Lewis is able to identify the vibrations we have that are not optimal for our best health and well being and balance them so they once again vibrate at their optimal rate. He measures Life Force as the extent to which we are energetically balanced, which in turn gives us the ability to keep ourselves energetically balanced. The highest energetic Life Force rating is 100, the lowest is .01. When Stephen began measuring Life Force, most participants starting his program were rated with a Life Force of about 95 to 99. In the past few years, this number has dropped dramatically. As he predicted for this time/this year, many new participants coming onto his program are rated at a Life Force of .01. He predicts this number will lower, and sobering days like today will be more common. The great news is that after being on his energy balancing program for approximately 1 year, most participants reach a Life Force rating of 100 or very close to it.
Sound like science fiction? It's not. I've had 10 years experience with an energy balancing program similar to what Stephen is doing and have experienced immediate improvement when using it. My family and I have been on Stephen's program for 3 months now. I am so enthralled with the work of EMC2 that I am co-hosting an introductory seminar about the program in August.
On days like today, and with what I have learned reading Stephen's book and listening to him on Mike Connors radio program, I am anxious to let more people know about this program, what may be the cause of the sobering news like today's, and what can be done about it.

We Can't Do This Alone
While being ill today I received many gifts - my mother taking the stress away, my husband coming home from work early to support me, and my dear friend Sarah talking to me at least three times (more?) on the phone! I appreciate each of you - thank you!
It got me to thinking about how none of us are here to play this game alone. Then I started thinking about the "other-ness" of "other" people being such a farce since there really is no other, just reflections of ourselves "out there." Why then, are we led to this idea of "other-ness?" I read one time that our knowing we are all one, and one with our creator, was taken away from us purposely to see if we could find our way back to this knowing. I think, if this is the game we were put here to play, that ultimately we will win. (Look at the title list of best selling books for the past decade!)
"Consciousness" - defined as what creates everything out of energy, has risen high enough on our planet to over ride "unconsciousness," even though more then 2/3 of the earth's population is still "unconscious," or not yet awakened/the walking asleep. This is based on the work of David Hawkins - an amazing man who's work on consciousness astounds me. He has created an entire hierarchy of consciousness, based on numbers up to 1000 (I guess they start at 1!) - with people like Jesus and Buddha measuring in at a consciousness level of 1000. Until you have gotten over 200, you are considered "unconscious." I've always wondered where I fall on the consciousness scale... muscle testing for another day. Today, I need to take my gifts from the "other" people in my life and go to bed!

The Ki Method
I love coming across new (to me!) energy healing techniques! Actually, I was introduced to The Ki-Method two months ago when I attended the Mercer County Holistic Moms Network Chapter Meeting on Holistic First Aid. After discussing homeopathy, herbs and essential oils for first aid, Caitlin and Laurie, the presenters, started talking about Energy Sphere Points on our bodies associated with our meridian system. They shared that when you lightly touch two specific points, feeling for their pulse, the pulse will eventually balance creating healing for that energy system. There are specific points for heart attack, shock, anxiety, burns, immune building...amazing! I was so impressed by their presentation I invited them to speak next month at the Holistic Moms Network Chapter I started and run in Lower Bucks County!
Tonight I decided to do a little research on The Ki Method so I could understand and explain it better to people. This is so cool - our hands work to create an energy circuit! Our left hand has negative charged energy, and our right hand had positive charged energy, so when you place them on these specific energy sphere points they complete an energy circuit. This causes the energy of that circuit to travel back and forth from positive to negative along that circuit's wiring resulting in the balance of energy for that circuit! This stuff just amazes me!
Of course, I then needed to find out how to be trained in the Ki-Method...and that is when the "coincidences" started to happen. I first looked at the places the trainings take place - mostly in Texas but two where in Ogden, Utah. I traveled yearly to Ogden for my re-certification as a Neurodevelopmental Therapist. Wouldn't you know it - one of my mentors from Odgen is a trainer for the Ki-Program! As I was writing to re-connect with her and ask her more about Ki-Method Training, Caitlin (the Ki-Method presenter) sends me a message! Do you think all this was a message? My original note to my Ogden friend, Linda, was returned so I had to dig deeper on the Ki-Method website to find a working address for her. As I was searching I found out that the training I want to take is being offered for FREE in September!! Yes - I plan to be in Texas in September!
I love using my hands to attract Reiki healing energy to people. The Ki Method, however, appears to take this to an entirely new level since you can "treat" specific issues by knowing where and how to place your hands. To me, this is a magic I want to be a magician in.

Laughter is the best medicine!

I found a caterpillar snacking in the garden today on our red leaf lettuce and called the boys to take a look. (All I could think of was Eric Carle's "Very Hungry Caterpillar"...). My youngest squealed in delight, "Mom, we have to keep him so he can make a raccoon and turn into a butterfly!" LOL!! Jeff Gordon, as the Very Hungry Caterpillar is now referred to, lives in the Butterfly Treehouse cage along with one giant red leaf of lettuce and one piece of Hot Wheels track to race on. Oh yea, and one Ready Rabbit potty seat since Jeff disappointingly used his racetrack as a bathroom...it's been a funny day! The energy of laughter is certainly healing right down to the soul.
Feel Your Feelings
My 18 year old step-son came for dinner this evening to celebrate Father's Day. It is always exciting for my two sons to spend time with their big brother - they don't see him often. As I kissed my oldest son good night he told me he was sad. He missed his big brother. He spent some time trying to figure out a way to not be sad - he could go live at his big brother's house (but then he would miss us), we could move closer to him (but he is going away to college and we want to live on a farm)...with every solution he created he quickly discovered a draw back. I finally stepped in and offered a suggestion, "Why don't you just feel your feelings?" I explained to him that feelings are not good or bad, they are just something we experience which can sometimes make us uncomfortable for a little while. I told him it can hurt our bodies when we try not to feel our feelings since the energy of the feeling can get stuck when it is not expressed out of our body. Our energy works best when it is freely flowing through and around us and the places it gets stuck are the places we can get sick. I also explained that sadness can be a good thing - it means you have a loving heart since only a loving heart misses somebody when they are gone. He began to cry. I encouraged him to let all of his sad out, and he did. When he calmed down I reminded him that he could choose to lay in bed and think about his brother not being here or he could choose to think about all the things they did together. We spent a little time talking about what he liked best today, and what was the most fun. I am so thankful for books like "Connection Parenting" by Pam Leo which raised my consciousness about encouraging children to express their feelings. As parents, our first instinct is to stop our children from crying but often this is not what they really need. They need to have a safe place to discharge the energy of overwhelming emotions. This is also good advice for us grown ups - did you let your energy flow today, even the uncomfortable stuff, or did you suppress and trap it in your body someplace?
BTW - I wrote an article about Attachment and Connection Parenting in the May 2009 issue of Inner Vision Magazine (www.innervisionmagazine.com). Enjoy!
